I love knitting in the car, but probably wouldn't attempt too much lace. Looks like you just have an edging there, so not too bad. I get motion sickness if I look down or read while in a vehicle, so pattern reading isn't my thing.
Give me some nice & mindless knitting, though, and I'm a happy passenger!

Looks fabulous. I've knitted in the car, and did a few good rows, but still needed to watch the road somewhat.DH makes me nervous whenhe's behind the wheel.

Yes, I have. Well, not to knit, but to crotch. I´m knitting and cross stitching at the suburban train every morning and evening.
Like your pattern you´ve choosen to shorten the way! Good luck! And always keep another eye on the road! ;-)
