Crocheting Maggie's Field of Flowers
Edited by TiaGaby at 2013-11-18 02:04Started this project with Caron One Pound Baby in Ecru... at the end of my skein, I discovered this yarn has been discontinued :'(After much debate about destroying what I had, I decided to use Loops & Threads in fern (resembling grass) to finish the canvas.
I've started some of the decor, and here is what it looks like so far. Will update next weekend.
If you're interested, here is where I got the pattern: PATTERN LINKUPDATED 11/17/13
Here I am at Week 2.
I changed my mind about the rose that is in the pattern and made some rosettes in stead. Didn't like the loop daisy or the wild flower, so I made a Chrysanthemum and some daffodils (Pattern HERE). :)
My plan is to add a sunflower on the upper left and a daisy below it, then add the pansies, grass and bugs from the pattern.
I plan to post onePDF wilth all the flowers I changed so anyone itnersted doesn't have to hunt them down individually.
Should have it all laid out and ready for sweing next weekend.
Week 3 Update:
I'm done with the flowers, took me a while to adapt the sunflower to suit my project. I expected to have all the bugs done but only got the ladybug so far, so I'm still missing the dragonfly and butterfly.
The cat has made it back to the ground vs the fence... can't seem to make up my mind!
Still hoping to have it finished by this weekend, I should start the sewing late this week.

Thanks you!
You are using knitting yarn for cross-stitching?Do you have to use special canvas?
The link to the pattern you provided seems to be wrong.Post #55 of the following thread is a tutorial of how to get the link to a post.
