CROCHET ALONG – PROJECT 1 – WEEK 1
Edited by CrochetGranny at 2013-9-18 10:24Hello again my friends and welcome to our first ChCross Crochet Along! I hope everyone had a great weekend and is ready to finally start stitching again LOL! ;P
Below are the guidelines, basic rules, stitch schedule and of course the link to our lucky pattern winner. (Are you getting excited yet?!)
Every Monday I will post a new check in thread here in the Crochet Diary (titled the same as above). This is a place for us to touch base, review and discuss our progresses. You can post your questions or concerns here as well as upload pictures to share your work in progress.
BASICRULES AND GUIDELINES: 1) Each week you will be completing the portion of the pattern listed in our Stitch Schedule
2) Any questions, comments, pictures, etc. pertaining to that weeks progress should be posted publicly as a reply in that week's check in thread so others have a chance to respond. This way if you are struggling or have any concerns we can all participate in helping you through it.
3) Everyone interested in joining our Crochet Along will be responsible for downloading the pattern on their own! No handouts! No exceptions! If you want to join and do not have enough gold coins you will have to put in the work to earn enough on your own to pay for the pattern. I am sorry if this is an inconvenience, but it would not be fair to any of us or the author of the pattern. Please be honest. :)
4) If at any time the Stitch Schedule does not fit your schedule, meaning if it is too much for that week, PLEASE DO NOT GET DISCOURAGRED! Simply leave a reply in that weeks check-in thread and we can hold a group discussion to determine whether or not we need to extend the time frame. Do not be afraid to ask! We can always make adjustments in our schedule, after all, there is no need to rush this is all for fun!

CROCHETALONG – STITCH SCHEDULE
09/02/2013– CROCHET ALONG –PROJECT 1 – WEEK 1Please take this time to download and review the pattern in its entirety! You are going to want to plan out your colors for each piece and take note of any materials you may need to purchase. If you have any questions you may ask them below, but please, if it pertains to a later portion of our pattern try to hold off until we all get there so there is no confusion.
Once you have your materials gathered you maystart on the Head / Body of the pattern. Because this portion is the largest piece we are going to stretch this out for 2 weeks. If anyone needs more time do not be afraid to ask! We can always add on a third week if needed.
NOTE: The designer has chosen to start each piece with a Ch 2, SC 6 in second chain from hook. If you prefer, as I do, you can substitute the Ch 2, SC 6 for a magic circle with SC 6. If you do not know how to work the magic circle, YouTube has some wonderful tutorials! *Please note, this only stands as a reference, you do not need to use the magic circle

10/28/2013– CROCHET ALONG –PROJECT 1 – WEEK 9Bottom Wings(Make 2),weekly check-in. Because these wings are quite large we are going to stretch this portion of the pattern out for 2 weeks, if anyone needs more time or if one week is plenty leave a reply for discussion.
11/04/2013– CROCHET ALONG –PROJECT 1 – WEEK 10Bottom Wings Continued, weekly check-in
11/11/2013 – CROCHET ALONG –PROJECT 1 – WEEK 11Embellishing the Wings (now it’s getting super exciting!), weekly check-in

another question is, when i'm done the project, where/how to post? ( post the doll here or you'll make a new post for us to put our finished doll there for ppl to vote? )
