It's a bookmark done on aida (14 ct) and I'm worried about the fraying of the corners and about the thread being ruined with the use. I was thinking of sewing a piece of cloth to the back that goes over the edges (so I don't worry about fraying and also cover up the back while I'm on it) and for the fron I thought about using one of those sprays that protect fabric from stains, wear, etc. But I'd love to hear what you do with your bookmarks and any tips you might have for me since I'm just a newbie :loveliness: [useip] => 201.235.48.52 [port] => 0 [invisible] => 0 [anonymous] => 0 [usesig] => 1 [htmlon] => 0 [bbcodeoff] => -1 [smileyoff] => 0 [parseurloff] => 0 [attachment] => 0 [rate] => 0 [ratetimes] => 0 [status] => 0 [tags] => [comment] => 0 [replycredit] => 0 [position] => 1 ) [1] => Array ( [pid] => 31130587 [fid] => 84 [tid] => 160004 [first] => 0 [author] => htsear13 [authorid] => 331021 [subject] => [dateline] => 1644443485 [message] => Following this thread [useip] => 76.102.199.150 [port] => 9560 [invisible] => 0 [anonymous] => 0 [usesig] => 0 [htmlon] => 0 [bbcodeoff] => -1 [smileyoff] => -1 [parseurloff] => 0 [attachment] => 0 [rate] => 0 [ratetimes] => 0 [status] => 0 [tags] => 0 [comment] => 0 [replycredit] => 0 [position] => 20 [hotrecommended] => 1 ) [2] => Array ( [pid] => 4008342 [fid] => 84 [tid] => 160004 [first] => 0 [author] => LouAnna [authorid] => 32160 [subject] => How to finish a bookmark [dateline] => 1376581597 [message] => I always use iron on interfacing found in sewing shops for the back of the work to keep it secure. oh yes - I use interfacing on all of my projects just to give them some substance on the back, it prevents fraying and also helps stiffen it for framing too x
