how to make stitch markers - knitting
Edited by Bleu at 2016-7-29 17:30I found great photos of how to make your own stitch markers
I'm going to have to try to make some this way.I like the look of them.I usually make mine with the lever back earing findings.I can use them as earings or stitch markers. The neat thing about the lever back findings is that they are removable if you knit them in. For knitting I saw where you can use jump rings and attach any doo-dad to it that you like. As long as there isn't anything that will get caught in the yarn. I have used the little rings the most of course in knitting. In crochet the locking stich marker works better for me so then I would have to make one with a clasp i forgot what they call it! lol
It's a wonderful idea. Thank you for sharing. I usually use a piece of yarn or markers from a shop but they are not very convenient (they are quite big and always come out). And sometimes I use simple safety pins or special safety pins for wool (made of plastic). More work that I want to do, lol! I normally just cut a piece of yarn and knot it into a circle, if I don't have my box of plastic stitch markers handy. I used to make jewelry for friends and family, but I've never used the skill to make stitch markers.Thank you so much! That is an awesome idea! I have some wire and beads now I'm off to making some colorful stitch markers. Thank you very much :) Oh wow I really need to try this.
I love stitch markers but am too thrifty to buy the pretty self-made ones from others. ^^' i like that. I have also used old earrings or small split rings but those get tangeled in some of the looser yarns I have most of this equipment. Thanks for sharing, I'm going to grab my notions bag and give it a go. many thanks for sharing Thanks for sharing :) Muchas gracias por compartir. Very helpful, thank you :D Thank you :) Good idea~ interesting Podoba mi się,fantastyczny pomysł,przydatny bardzo ,dziękuję :):):) Very nice ! :)
