He was pointing up into the tree in front of our house. A very small fluffy orange cat was up there. It was verbal but looked afraid. I went into the house to get the kitty treats to see if it would come down for that - nope. He went into the garage to get the ladder while I kept talking to the kitty. We set up the ladder and up I went - kitty went higher out of reach. We decided to kind of sit and quietly talk to it and see if it would come down. Kitty went higher and towards our house - maybe thinking of going on the roof? Well we moved the ladder and I went up again when it was in a good spot. I did not even have to snatch the kitty - it seemed happy to be picked up! So we get her down and got some kitty food and water and it hung out wanting to be petted. Beautiful young very fluffy orange female with no front claws!!!!! This was someone's pet!! Husband went up and down the street checking to see if anyone lost their cat. No one. The last house he went to the woman who lives there came over to see the kitty and promptly took it. Now we know that it does not belong to anyone in the neighborhood and no one knew of anyone missing a pet. I was inside and was called out by my husband.He was pointing up into the tree in front of our house.A very small fluffy orange cat was up there.It was verbal but looked afraid.I went into the house to get the kitty treats to see if it would come down for that - nope.

He went into the garage to get the ladder while I kept talking to the kitty.We set up the ladder and up I went - kitty went higher out of reach.We decided to kind of sit and quietly talk to it and see if it would come down.Kitty went higher and towards our house - maybe thinking of going on the roof?Well we moved the ladder and I went up again when it was in a good spot.I did not even have to snatch the kitty - it seemed happy to be picked up!So we get her down and got some kitty food and water and it hung out wanting to be petted.Beautiful young very fluffy orange female with no front claws!!!!!This was someone's pet!!

Husband went up and down the street checking to see if anyone lost their cat.No one.The last house he went to the woman who lives there came over to see the kitty and promptly took it.Now we know that it does not belong to anyone in the neighborhood and no one knew of anyone missing a pet.This cat will be taken care of in it's new home
