How I store my threads
This is what I use to store my threads in.It took a really long time when I first filled it up, but now it's not so bad when I just have to replace a few colors.I use floss boxes but this looks like it is two sided like a fishing lure box.Is that what it is?If so I love the double side and now I have to go look for some myself! It took me a while before I found a webshop that sold this double-sided cases. Just recently I got it. And the case is really super handy. Don't want anything else.
спасибо, что поделились. Всегда полезно увидеть, как хранят нитки вышивальщицы
c'est une jolie boîte pleine de fourniture pour la broderie i like how they are upright and easy to read the numbers Wow, absolutely amazing, I love your stuff!
Очень красивый! Спасибо, что поделились! Красивый!
Verry nice work!!! Thank you for sharing:) very nice!thank you for sharing That's exactly what I did. Cost a little to purchase the winder (makes it SO much quicker) and enough cards, plus the boxes to store them in (mine were all single-layer, individual boxes and I don't think they were even specific to floss cards. I think they were for fishing tackle, or something).
Then, I spent a few days winding everything, labeling the cards, etc. But once you're done, you only need to do a few when you run out of a color. And, yes. I just HAD to have every, single color/type of floss that DMC made, plus some other nifty types of things like the metallic Krenik threads and I forget what else. :) Oh my - it looks just perfect- I will not put up a photo of my storage system!:) happymistakes replied at 2013-3-7 15:42 static/image/common/back.gif

I would just wind the thread while watching TV or something, so it didn't really bother me too much since I wasn't in a hurry. Now I just flip from one side to the other to get my color. OMG perfect ! Ninouche replied at 2013-3-7 15:52 static/image/common/back.gif
OMG perfect !
Thanks. Took me a while, but I wasn't in a hurry and now there all in one place in one box. At least, the complete DMC set. The speciality threads are not as organized. It looks great ! that's a cool idea, i must do it to, mine are all tangled in a shoe box, yes i hear people freaking out already :) I have mine in single layers boxes, in the same format as you do.Works well for me. I wish I had that! I've just swapped from kits to charts so I only have a few colours, and the manky pre-cut pieces remaining from the kits. Nothing organised at all.
