The ink is engineered to be translucent when it comes to contact with heat. So far, I have no problem using it. Just don't use it to sign any important documents. I have also used these pens (red pen on white fabric) and not experienced any problems with the lines showing. Very pleased with the results, I also used it to mark off the chart and if I make an error - easily to rub off. The ink will show up again only if you put your fabric in the freezer. If it does show up again, you can always reheat your fabric again. I painstakingly grid aida & linen.Gridding linen is a pain, but it saves more pain later. I still have to count the holes, but the 10x10 grids help me to place the grid I want to go to.

I have also used these pens (red pen on white fabric) and not experienced any problems with the lines showing. Very pleased with the results, I also used it to mark off the chart and if I make an error - easily to rub off.
