"UB 610" - My first try to self-lace a pattern
Zuletzt bearbeitet von urmel um 2013-1-19 21:45Inspired by the laced work of bluetooth2005 and with the tutorial of DELETED (THANKS A LOT, it's very helpful to work with!!!) I tried to do it myself.
UB 610 "Spaziergang zu den drei alten Eichen"
I finished this one already in 2011; first I decided to work it as a wall hanging but I wasn't very happy with the result.
So, I've bought a frame and today I found some timeto do my first try in lacing.
I was a bit difficult but I've done it!
Here are some pics of my work:
1. step: sew a line of basting stitches around the pattern
2. step: pinning (terrible job :Q)
3. step: lacing (always afraid that the thread breaks off, but everything went well :) )
4. step: knock a nail into the wall (hello neighbours!!) :lol:P
5. step: FINISHED
detail of the frame
Fazit: You need a little bit (more) time for the self-lacing and framing but you can also save much money.....
(a professional framing of this one should cost approx. 150 € :o, DIY including frame only ~ 25 €! :loveliness: )
Thanks for looking, I hope, you like my work :)
