But for a HAED, I would definately add my initials and year - in a corner using backstitch that is a few shades darker (or lighter) than the stitches in that area. You can probably find really pretty scrap booking paper to use instead of an index card too! I put my initials in my work. If it is a birth sampler that already has a date on it, I dont bother to put the year since it is already there. I have signed some samplers by making my initials a different color on an alphabet, I should try to sign all my work but often I'm so excited to finish I forget.

I never sign an of my works. In my opinion it's not always good idea. Especially when you did landscapes or really small projects
